WATCH: Ryan Day postgame Michigan press conference

Things didn’t go nearly the way Ohio State wanted Saturday against Michigan. The Buckeyes controlled the game in the first half but only went into the locker room up by three points. The second half was a different story with the Wolverines putting the gas pedal down and running away with the game with big play after big play.

It was no doubt a dose of humble pie for the entire team that was motivated and confident in beating Michigan after listening to all the talk and perceived disrespect since walking off the field in Ann Arbor last season.

It wasn’t meant to be and the entire team is now left looking for answers, including head coach Ryan Day. In fact, the head man met with the media in Columbus afterward to face the music and was visibly and obviously disappointed by the outcome.

Here is everything Day said after the bitter loss to arch-rival Michigan for the second year in a row.

Ohio State will now await its postseason fate as it sits back and watches the Wolverines head to Indianapolis instead of it for two-straight years. The most likely landing spot for the Buckeyes is the Rose Bowl, but there’s an outside chance they squeak into the College Football Playoff if things break correctly. Don’t hold your breath on that one though.
