WATCH: Ricky Seals-Jones scores Washington’s first touchdown vs. Chiefs

The Washington Football Team trailed the Kansas City Chiefs 10-6 late in the first half despite multiple Kansas City turnovers. The latest Chiefs’ turnover gave Washington the ball near midfield with just under five minutes remaining.

The drive appeared in danger when Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke found running back J.D. McKissic on a third-and-16 for a first down into Kansas City territory.

Two plays, later Heinicke found a wide-open Ricky Seals-Jones for a 39-yard touchdown to give Washington a 13-10 lead with 1:18 remaining in the first half.

For Seals-Jones, who moved into the starting lineup last week after Logan Thomas went on injured reserve, it was his second touchdown of the season.

Seals-Jones spent the 2020 season on Kansas City’s roster behind Travis Kelce.

Seals-Jones leads Washington with four receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown midway through the third quarter.
