Following a three-and-out on their first drive of the game, the Los Angeles Rams were able to drive down the field and score a touchdown on their second drive. After multiple chances to score on the one-yard line, Matthew Stafford ran it in himself to give the Rams an early 7-0 lead over the San Francisco 49ers.

Stafford’s rushing touchdown capped off a 17-play drive for the Rams that was prolonged by multiple defensive penalties by the 49ers. Los Angeles called a rollout play for the veteran signal-caller, and with no one open, Stafford put his shoulder down and extended the ball into the end zone.
