DO NOT TRY MARSHON LATTIMORE.
Week 1’s much-anticipated matchup between Marshon Lattimore and DeAndre Hopkins lived up to its billing. The Tennessee Titans wide receiver made a couple of plays early on, running a nice route that sent Lattimore sprawling — but the New Orleans Saints cornerback rallied back with a huge interception later in the game.
Having built some confidence in Hopkins’ hands, Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill tried a risky throw towards the sideline with Lattimore and a safety trailing Hopkins for what would have been a critical third-down conversion. But Lattimore read the play and put himself in position to jump the route, acrobatically intercepting the pass to set his offense up in a great spot.
