Texas and West Virginia are each hoping to become bowl eligible by winning the final two games on the schedule.

The two programs will face off in Morgantown in Week 12, and the loser of this contest is eliminated from making a bowl game. The Longhorns and Mountaineers each sit with a 4-6 record on the season.

The overall series between Texas and West Virginia is tied 5-5. The Longhorns are 4-2 when playing in Morgantown, while the Mountaineers are 3-1 when playing in Austin.

Steve Sarkisian has never faced off against West Virginia throughout his coaching career. Neil Brown has coached against the Longhorns twice, losing both of them.
