It feels like a long time ago that we praised the Baltimore Ravens for not overthinking their 14th overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft and selecting Kyle Hamilton. The former Notre Dame safety didn’t have a 40-yard dash time that some desired, and fell from being the top-five pick that some thought he might be.
Hamilton had a strong rookie season for the Ravens that came to a close Sunday night as the Bengals bested their division rival in an exciting, one score affair. In it though, Kyle Hamilton delivered one of the hits and biggest plays of the night as he both forced and recovered a fumble.
Hamilton gets a lot of recognition for his coverage skills and ability to make plays on the ball, but his ability to step up and deliver a big blow can sometimes be overlooked.
Regardless of the Ravens loss, I’m guessing Hamilton’s hit-ability won’t be forgotten the first time the Bengals meet Baltimore next season.
