WATCH: Allen takes over at practice, Haskins just watches originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
Kyle Allen took the field for the first time as the starting quarterback for the Washington Football Team, and perhaps more noticeably, Dwayne Haskins seemed out of the rotation during quarterback drills.
News broke Wednesday morning that Allen would take over for Haskins as the top QB. The other piece of news is that veteran QB Alex Smith moves to backup quarterback.
Smith has been inactive every game this season but on Sunday he will be on the active roster and just one play away from seeing live-action for the first time since suffering a compound fracture to his leg in November 2018.
