WATCH: Keon Coleman explains that it was always his plan to end back up in the south

It shocked a lot of Michigan State football fans when star wide receiver Keon Coleman announced that he would be leaving East Lansing to head back south to Florida State. According to his own words in an episode of ‘DaChosenOnes Podcast’, this was actually his plan all along.

On the podcast, Coleman explained that he wanted to get out of his home area for a few years, learn how to play in the cold, and learn from a coaching staff that had NFL experience like Michigan State, and ultimately end back up at a southern school. Coleman is now at Florida State.
