Watch Poole drop dimes in Santa Cruz Warriors' G League win originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

Jordan Poole has been thriving lately during the G League's Orlando bubble. The Warriors' first-round pick from the 2019 NBA Draft dropped 19 points to lead the Santa Cruz Warriors to their third straight win Saturday, and he's doing more than just putting up points.

Poole also dished five assists in the win. But as you can see in the clip below, Poole also made a handful of great passes that didn't count as assists.

With point guards Jeremy Lin and Nico Mannion hurt, Poole had more opportunities to show off his playmaking skills. And he didn't disappoint.

Poole is averaging 3.9 assists per game in his seven contests with Santa Cruz. That's much higher than his 2.0 career average in the NBA.

The Warriors used the 6-foot-4 Poole as a point guard and shooting guard last season as a rookie. Whether he plays more on the ball or off it once he returns to Golden State, Steve Kerr and Co. certainly hope Poole feels more comfortable as a playmaker. The Warriors have struggled finding a secondary ballhandler and hopefully Poole can take a bit of that responsibility.

Poole's NBA career hasn't started how the Warriors hoped when they took him with the No. 28 pick in the 2019 draft. But his offseason work ethic was praised by Kerr and he's only 21 years old. If he keeps it up, he could be a real help to the Warriors later this season.
