We’re quickly approaching the end of Dwyane Wade’s 16-year NBA career. With the 37-year-old star retiring at the end of the season, he’s been on a goodbye tour with the Miami Heat, and has been swapping jerseys with players like LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Ben Simmons, Stephen Curry, and many more. It’s a fun and touching tradition, because Wade doesn’t just get souvenirs from his fellow players, he also gives a part of himself to them.

It’s hard to say goodbye to a player like Wade, but Budweiser found the perfect way. They surprised Wade with their own kind of jersey swap, bringing in five people whose lives have been changed by Wade off the court: a woman who lost her house in a fire, the sister of a Parkland shooting victim, the recipient of one of Wade’s full college scholarships, a man who was inspired by Wade to change his life, and Wade’s own mother.

To echo the jersey swaps Wade has been doing, each of them brought Wade a significant piece of clothing from their lives. Wade spends a decent amount of the video in tears, and fair warning: if you watch it, you probably will too.

I warned you about the tears!

The final regular season game of Wade’s illustrious career will happen Wednesday when the Heat travel to New York to play the Brooklyn Nets, but his final regular-season game in front of a Miami crowd is Tuesday against the Philadelphia 76ers. You might want to grab a few tissues for that one, too.
