Also discussed: The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Childish Gambino’s “This Is America,” and more

Donald Glover stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last night to promote his new movie Solo: A Star Wars Story. Glover plays Lando, and during the conversation, he talked about landing the role, as well as his text conversations with Stevie Wonder, who had to approve the use of his music in “Atlanta.” (Glover recently performed with Stevie Wonder at an L.A. event.) He also discussed the album he’s listened to the most: The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

Elsewhere in the interview, Glover revealed that he stayed off the internet all weekend following his appearance on “SNL” and the release of his new Childish Gambino single and video, “This is America.” “Are you the kind of person who sees one negative thing and it makes you feel bad?” Kimmel asks. Glover: “More like, I see one negative thing and I track that person down.”

Glover is set to go on tour with Vince Staples and Rae Sremmurd later this fall.
