WATCH: Chiefs show Patrick Mahomes connecting with young receivers during OTAs

The Kansas City Chiefs are teasing the growing chemistry between Patrick Mahomes and his young wide receivers group. The two notable players showcased were Skyy Moore and Justyn Ross.

Moore was praised last week by head coach Andy Reid for his work with Mahomes during the first week of OTAs.

“I like what I see,” Reid said of his impression of Moore at the Chiefs’ offseason program. “He’s getting strong (and) you can tell that he’s worked this offseason. He was down there with Pat (Mahomes) the whole time and never missed a day with him, so he’s done a good job. (He has a) better understanding.”

The other receiver being showcased was Ross, who has had plenty of hype since last year’s camp before shutting down due to injury.

“So, the big one (Justyn Ross) is coming along,” said Reid. “He feels good, his foot feels good (and) the surgery that he had worked out well up to this point. He’s made some nice plays for us out here. I know Pat’s (Mahomes) got trust in him, so that’s good to see.

Mahomes continues showing a willingness and excitement over his current roster of receivers even with a talent like DeAndre Hopkins out on the free agent market.
