Watch: Brandon Aiyuk’s huge block springs Christian McCaffrey’s 65-yard TD run

With a 20-7 lead through two quarters, the San Francisco 49ers picked up where they left off in the second half. It didn’t take long for Kyle Shanahan’s offense to get back on the scoreboard at the start of the third quarter.

On the second play of the drive, Christian McCaffrey navigated through traffic and broke tackles on his way to a 65-yard house call.

On his way to the endzone, Brandon Aiyuk continued his strong performance on opening day with a block against Steelers defensive back Damontae Kazee that sprung a lane for McCaffrey.

Following McCaffrey’s long touchdown run, the 49ers took a commanding 27-7 lead on the road over the Steelers.
