The Boston Celtics have figured out their defense and then some, with one of the top-rated abilities on that end of the floor in the NBA at present. And after hanging 130 points on the Utah Jazz in Friday’s loss despite the presence of vaunted interior defender Rudy Gobert, the Celtics look like they are just a step or two away from being a force in the league’s Eastern Conference.

What does Boston need to work on next to make the leap to a quasi-contender and separate themselves from the pack of pretenders lingering in the middle of the East standings?
