The Ashes, one of sport's greatest contests, is just around the corner - and here's our guide on how you can watch.

When is the Ashes taking place?

The five-Test series between Australia and England begins on November 23, with the fifth and final contest starting on January 4.

What TV channel will it be broadcast on?

BT Sport.

Why not Sky Sports?

BT Sport outbid Sky by around £20million last year to become Cricket Australia's overseas partner, thus ending Sky's 10-year stranglehold on live cricket coverage in the UK.

The broadcaster will have exclusive rights to all five Tests and, indeed, all of Australia's home matches over the next five years.

It will also show the Big Bash, Australia's domestic T20 tournament, in this time.

How to get BT Sport

Those with a Sky box can watch BT Sport by signing up to a 12-month package, with prices varying depending on whether you opt for SD or HD.

BT Sport is also accessible for BT TV customers for a small monthly fee, while it is also accessible through the BT Sport and live stream online player for BT broadband customers.

More details can be found here.

Who will the pundits be?

Greg James presents the coverage, with Alison Mitchell as the pitchside reporter alongside Kevin Pietersen in Australia. Pundits will include England Ashes winners Michael Vaughan, Graeme Swann, plus Australia’s leading Test run-scorer Ricky Ponting.
