Washington drafted wide receiver Antonio Gandy-Golden to be a playmaker, and in the first quarter against the Browns, the rookie delivered.
Last week was his first catch and this week was Gandy-Golden's first carry. He took the ball around the edge and dashed 22 yards.
It was an impressive run, but it ended with a bang. A big bang.
Gandy-Golden popped up and seemed fine after the hit. There was no penalty called either.
Welcome to the NFL rook.
Gandy-Golden has had a slow start to this rookie campaign, largely due to the tough adjustments that must be made when a receiver takes the next step to professional football. If the Liberty product can continue to consistently make more plays like he did on Sunday, the Washington offense will benefit greatly.
