Alex Verdugo played the hero for the Boston Red Sox in their Friday night win over the Toronto Blue Jays.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Verdugo knocked one off the Green Monster to drive in pinch-runner Danny Santana and propel Boston to a 6-5 walk-off victory.

Verdugo's walk-off RBI single capped off a four-run comeback for the Red Sox, who lead MLB with 23 come-from-behind wins this season. Friday's win marked their largest comeback of the year.

It was the second straight night of clutch moments at Fenway Park. In Thursday night's win over the Houston Astros, Christian Arroyo came through with a game-tying three-run homer in the fifth inning to help Boston to a wild 12-8 victory.

The Red Sox and Blue Jays are set to do battle again Saturday with first pitch at 4:10 p.m. ET.
