The Portland Sea Dogs put on a show Thursday night in Binghamton, N.Y.

Facing off against the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, the Boston Red Sox' Double-A affiliate scored a whopping 11 runs on 10 hits... in the first inning.

Tomase: Sale's latest outburst a reminder that Red Sox can't trust him

Two of the organization's highly-touted prospects, Alex Binelas (No. 21 in the Red Sox system) and Ceddanne Rafaela (No. 26), hit back-to-back homers on the first two pitches of the game.

Catcher Stephen Scott added to the onslaught with a three-run blast.

The Sea Dogs sent 15 batters to the plate in the inning. They went on to score another two runs in the second inning and three in the third to blow out Binghamton, 16-1.

It's yet another reason to be encouraged by Boston's revitalized farm system. Binelas and Rafaela are among several top prospects making a name for themselves this season. Others, including pitchers Josh Winckowski, Connor Seabold and Brayan Bello, already are making an impact with the big-league club.
