Washington tenders exclusive-rights free agent QB Kyle Allen

As expected, the Washington Football Team has tendered exclusive rights free agent QB Kyle Allen, locking him down on the roster for the 2021 season.

This was just a formality and was expected to happen, putting Allen back in the mix to compete for a spot on the QB depth chart this offseason. With the tendering, Allen will only cost $850,000 against the salary cap next season.

Allen played a couple of games for Washington in 2020 but went down with a season-ending dislocated ankle midway through the year which required surgery. All reports show that he is recovering well and should be ready to play by the time that training camp comes around.
