Player Notes: 

Third baseman Anthony Rendon went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a walk Sunday. The 28-year-old extended his hitting streak to a career-high 13, and is posting 400/.460/.873 triple-slash line with 18 runs scored, six homers and 17 RBI in 63 plate appearances.

Adam Eaton went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and a stolen base Sunday, his third steal of the season. 

Max Scherzer allowed three runs on seven hits in eight innings in the Nats' loss. Scherzer is 1-2 with a 3.33 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 35/5 K/BB ratio in four starts. He will get his next start on the road against the Marlins Saturday.
