The Cowboys hit a low point of the season Sunday when they got blown out by the previously 1-5 Washington Football Team and lost quarterback Andy Dalton, already their replacement for starting QB Dak Prescott, to a scary head injury.
Even with the NFC East off to a historically poor start, Dallas hasn’t been able to capitalize thanks to poor defense and a season-ending ankle injury for Prescott. Following its Week 7 win, Washington posted a picture on Twitter that rubbed the victory in just a little bit more.
The sad couple was caught on Monday night’s broadcast of the Cowboys’ 38-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Images of the depressed fans quickly spread on social media and Washington decided to hop in on the trend at a pretty opportune moment.
Washington moved to 2-5 on the season with the win, tying the Cowboys for second in the NFC East only a half-game behind the 2-4-1 Philadelphia Eagles.
