Warriors zing Chuck with 'Jump Shooting Teams: 1, Charles Barkley: 0' shirt
Even as the Golden State Warriors were demolishing opponents by an average of 11.4 points per 100 possessions — the second-best mark of the last 15 years, behind only the Year 1 KG-Truth-Ray 2008-09 Boston Celtics — famously opinionated TNT commentator Charles Barkley continued to beat his favorite drum.

“I have said the exact same thing for 16 years here,” Barkley said back in January. “I don’t like jump-shooting teams. I don’t think you can win the championship beating good teams shooting jumpers. Klay [Thompson] and Steph [Curry] are great players, and they’ve got a great home court, but I’m just saying … in a seven-game series, I don’t think they can make enough jumpers … No disrespect to the Golden State Warriors. I like teams that are built inside-out.”
As luck would have it — there's that word again! — the Warriors didn't need to prove they could hit enough jumpers over the course of seven games. After stomping their way to a 67-15 regular-season record and the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, Golden State dispatched all of its opposition in six games or less to win the franchise's first title in 40 years. And when the Warriors celebrated their victory on Tuesday night by raising their 2014-15 championship banner and receiving some very fancy jewelry from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, an enterprising T-shirt manufacturer made sure to commemorate the occasion in blue-and-gold style:

The shirt was "featured repeatedly on the team’s Jumbotron throughout" Tuesday's season-opening contest at Oracle Arena, according to Sam Amick of For the Win. After the Warriors mopped up the wounded New Orleans Pelicans behind a too-easy 40 points from reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry, Golden State shooting guard Klay Thompson shook off a rough night (nine points on 3-for-8 shooting, seven turnovers in 26 1/2 minutes) by having a bit of fun at the expense of the Round Mound of Rebound:

Eventually, one of the shirts made its way from Oakland's Oracle over to TNT's "Inside the NBA" crew, which had broadcast from Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. To his credit, Barkley ate his crow with relish, understanding that sometimes you just have to tip your cap and admit you got got:

Shouts to Chuck for being a good sport, and to the Warriors for opening up the season with yet another on-target shot fired.
