Warriors’ Steph Curry named starter for 2023 NBA All-Star Game in Utah

It’s time for Steph Curry to update his resume.

On Thursday, the league announced the starters for the 2023 edition of the NBA All-Star Game and the Golden State Warriors point guard’s name was listed.

For the ninth time in his career, Curry has been named a starter for the All-Star Game.

Curry will join Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James, Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic, Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic and New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson as Western Conference All-Star starters. James will serve as the Western Conference captain.

During the 2022-23 season, Curry is averaging 29.3 points on 48.7% shooting from the field and 42% shooting from beyond the arc to go along with 6.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists in 34.4 minutes per game.

Curry trails only Paul Arizin (10) for the most All-Star appearances in Golden State Warriors’ history. Curry leads the franchise with the most All-Star game starts.

Curry is coming off an All-Star Game Most Valuable Player award from last year in Cleveland. In the 2022 edition of the game, Curry caught fire, scoring 50 points with a record-breaking 16 made 3-pointers.

The 2023 All-Star Game is set to take place at Vivint Arena in Utah on Sunday, Feb. 19.
