Klay Thompson reveals why Red Sox were his favorite team as kid originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

Major League Baseball returned Thursday with Opening Day festivities across the nation, and even players from different sports are excited for America's Pastime to be back.

You can include Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson in that mix.

Thompson posted an old photo to his Instagram page Thursday showing him in a Boston Red Sox uniform as a kid. In the caption, he explained why the Red Sox were his favorite team growing up.
