The Rochester baseball team took care of business against Yelm on Friday, as the Warriors topped the Tornados 9-2.

The win snaps the Warriors (2-4, 0-2 2A EvCo) four-game losing streak. They were able to jump on top in the first and make it a 4-0 game after three.

Even as Yelm was able to plate two in the middle innings, Rochester continued to add on with a pair in the fourth and fifth and one in the sixth.

By the end of the game, Rochester had scored in five of the six innings they came to the plate.

"That's always nice when you do that," Rochester coach Brad Quarnstrom said. "It's the first time all year where we had some clutch base hits ... that was good to see

Five different Warriors got time on the bump, led by Henry Gramelspacher, who struck out three and didn't allow a hit in two scoreless innings.

I thought they all threw very well," coach Quarnstrom said. "Threw strikes, attacked hitters, and the defense played well."

He also hit a double and drove in a run, and Ethan Rodriguez and Tate Quarnstrom both logged three base hits.

The Warriors will look to get their first league win on Friday, when they host Black Hills.
