Warriors pick Jessup impresses with two straight strong games originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

Justinian Jessup continues to produce at a high level in Australia's National Basketball League.

The Hawks played twice in the last three days, and the Warriors second-round pick (No. 51 overall) played some great basketball, scoring 17 points (6-for-11 overall, 5-for-6 on 3s) Saturday vs. the Cairns Taipans, and 20 points (8-for-17 overall, 4-for-8 on 3s) with three steals Monday vs. the New Zealand Breakers.

The 22-year-old now is 25-for-47 (53 percent) from 3-point range through nine games this season.

And he doesn't need much time or space to knock 'em down.

There is no doubt that his ability to shoot from beyond the arc most likely will determine whether he sticks in the NBA or not.

But he is more than just a floor-spacer.

"I honestly think he could find time for the Warriors right now," former Golden State big man Andrew Bogut said on his "Rogue Bogues" podcast earlier this month. "I think he’s young, he’s learning the game, but they need shooters down there in Golden State.

"You could put him in the corner, you’re not leaving him. So he would really help their offense from that point of view.”

Even though this analysis is correct, you shouldn't expect to see Jessup in a Warriors uniform until next season.

The 6-foot-6 lefty will be back in action this Friday (Thursday in the United States) when The Hawks take on the Brisbane Bullets.
