Can you imagine a time of Stephen Curry not in a Golden State Warriors uniform? The shimmy sharp-shooter who doesn't need to look at his shot before it falls in; who ruined the game in terms of his unique shooting ability; who was the first unanimous MVP award winner in the NBA and brought three championships to Oakland… on ANY other team BUT the Golden State Warriors.

For a moment in time, that may have actually become a reality.

Let's rewind the clock to 2009. A time of oversized grey suits worn by fresh-faced college players hoping to be selected into the NBA. Warriors coach Don Nelson called up Dell Curry and asked his thoughts about selecting his son Steph with their first round pick, seventh overall.

Dell's response? "Don't. You asked me the question, I'll tell you the truth. Don't"

What happened after that phone call?

With the 7th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, the Golden State Warriors select… Stephen Curry from Davidson College. 

And then the league was changed forever.
