Warriors Gaming Squad was one of the last remaining undefeated teams back in week 5, but their current three-matchup losing streak has them looking like a different team.
WGS, now 6-3, struggled in week 7 against Mavs Gaming (8-3) and Magic Gaming (3-6). There's no doubt that the Warriors remain one of the top teams in the league, but that hasn't been reflected on the scoreboard as of late. Most of their losses within each series have been close but an untimely missed shot or hot stretch by the opposing team has cost them.
The matchup against the Mavs on Thursday was the definition of heartbreaking. A one-point loss is always tough, but a one-point loss in both games of the series stings that much more. It really could have gone either way, but a 61-60 loss in Game 1 and a 60-59 loss in Game 2 was enough to drop the matchup.
Friday Night's series against Magic Gaming could have been a good time for WGS to get back to their winning ways. The Magic have been struggling to start the season and entered the matchup with a 2-6 record. But the Warriors' loss in three games proves that there are no easy matchups in the NBA 2K League.
Magic Gaming got off to a hot start in the series with a 60-52 win in Game 1.
We finally saw the dominant Warriors team we've become accustomed to see during an 84-52 win in Game 2. With the game tied at 32-32 entering the 3rd quarter, WGS went on an incredible 25-4 run to completely pull away from Magic Gaming.

The second half run was fueled by CB13's ability to put the ball in the hoop. The Warriors point guard nearly outscored the Magic by himself in this game finishing with 51 points.
Warriors Gaming had all the momentum entering Game 3 and held a small lead throughout. It looked like they would be getting back in the win column but a late fourth-quarter run by the Magic handed WGS a 58-53 loss.
WGS now has dropped from second to seventh place in the last two weeks of regular season play. They will enter their week 8 matchup against Hawks Talon GC (3-3) looking to end the losing streak and make the climb back up the leaderboard.
