Prior to becoming a member of the Golden State Warriors, Andrew Wiggins spent six seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Along with D’Angelo Russell and draft picks, Wiggins was at the center of a blockbuster trade between Minnesota and Golden State at the 2019 NBA trade deadline.

On Wednesday, the veteran wing met his former team for the fourth time since joining Steph Curry, Draymond Green and the Warriors.

Prior to his date against the Timberwolves, Wiggins had a quiet start to the season on offense, scoring over 20 points in just one game. Against his former club on Wednesday, Wiggins caught fire.

The Kansas Jayhawks product tallied a team-high 35 points on 14-of-19 shooting from the field with four rebounds and two steals. During Golden State’s 123-110 win over Minnesota, Wiggins buried three triples on six attempts from beyond the arc.

Wednesday’s contest was just the third time he’s tallied over 30 points while wearing a Warriors uniform.

On his way to a new season-high in scoring, Wiggins spiked a pair of poster-worthy dunks over his former teammate Karl-Anthony Towns. The first emphatic dunk came on a baseline drive from Wiggins. The next dunk happened on a put-back in the fourth quarter.
