When ULM and the Ragin' Cajuns meet up in football, it's always a crazy game. With Quarterback Caleb Evan's touchdown with 9:35 left in regulation, to put the Warhawks up 43-22, it seemed that trend was going to end.

It turned out to be an eventful night after all.

The Cajun made a furious comeback and scored a touchdown to tie the game as time ran out.

However, ULM found a way to win with a touchdown in double overtime with a 56-50 victory.

ULM got on the board first as Caleb Evans drove the offense down the field and scored his first rushing touchdown of the night. ULM carried the momentum as they took 23-7 lead midway through the second quarter. Cajuns scored to make it 23-13 going into halftime. Warhawks could have held a bigger lead, but costly penalties allowed the Cajuns to score their second touchdown.

Evans and the ULM offense took over the game in the third quarter. The Cajuns were unable to find an answer for the ULM rushing attack.

ULM had all the momentum as they took a 3 touchdown lead early in the fourth quarter. ULM and Cajun fans alike thought the game was over, but the fun was about to begin.

The Cajuns quickly scored to make it a two possession game. The Warhawk offense was unable to pick up a first down and gave the ball right back to the home team.

The Cajuns marched right down the field and scored to make the game 43-36.

ULM got the ball back only needing to pick up a first down to clench the victory. Evans was stopped just short of a first down and the Warhawks punted the ball away. The Cajuns received the punt at their own 16 yard line with 2:02 left in the game and no time outs.

They moved the ball down the field and scored the game-tying touchdown as time expired to send the game to overtime.

ULM scored first in OT as Evans found RJ Turner for a 15 yard TD. The Cajuns responded with a score of their own to take the game into double over time.

Place kicking had been a problem throughout the game. The Cajuns missed 2 extra points in regulation, but had a chance to redeem themselves. Their field goal attempt was no good, so the Warhawks only needed 3 points to win.

Instead, the Warhawks ended the game with Derrick Gore's 5 yard touchdown run.

PLAYER OF THE GAME: CALEB EVANS seemingly solidified his place as ULM's starting quarterback as he had 5 rushing touchdowns and 1 passing touchdown.

ULM (1-2, 1-0) returns home next week as they host Coastal Carolina.
