CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- Incoming Miami Hurricanes freshman guard Lonnie Walker will require surgery to a torn meniscus in his right knee after being injured in practice Tuesday on campus.

“Lonnie suffered an injury in practice this morning,” head coach Jim Larrañaga said. “The timeframe for his return will be determined after the surgery.”

Walker, a native of Reading, Pa., is coach Jim Larranaga's most highly touted recruit in his six years at Miami. He was a 2017 McDonald’s All-American and Jordan Brand Classic All-American out of Reading High School.
