From football to XC: Extraordinary transition: This junior went from football to cross country and is thriving
>Ontario’s Annie Weaver had a game-high 20 kills and 11 digs in a 3-2 MOAC volleyball upset win over Galion.
>Shelby’s Madison Henkel had 25 kills and eight blocks as the Whippets upset MOAC title favorite Highland before recording 15 kills and five blocks in a 3-0 win over River Valley.
>Madison’s Cielo Jacobus had 15 digs, 13 kills and seven aces in an OCC volleyball win over Ashland.
>Mansfield Christian’s Ally Shoemaker had 24 assists and 10 digs in a nonconference volleyball win over Mansfield Senior.
>Clear Fork’s Christina Carroll recorded her 1,000th-career assist in a 3-1 volleyball loss to Pleasant.
>Ontario’s Shasha Bulakovski handed out three assists and scored one goal in a 14-0 soccer win over Harding.
>Clear Fork’s Annika Labaki handed out five assists in a 9-0 soccer win over Shelby giving her 54 for her career breaking the all-time assists record. She also has 16 on the season tying the single-season mark.
>Lexington’s Zoe Borowicz scored three goals in a 12-0 soccer win over Mansfield Christian.
>Clear Fork’s Grace Weikle shot a 96 at the Division II sectional golf tournament to grab one of the individual district qualifying spots.
>Lexington’s Jade Adkins took runner-up honors in first singles at the Ohio Cardinal Conference tennis tournament.
>Shelby’s McKenna Baker won her second singles match 6-1, 6-0 against Pleasant to secure another Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference girls tennis championship for the Whippets.
Voting will end at 9 p.m. on Friday. Winners will be announced on Saturday.
