Vols ranked No. 21 in Perfect Game preseason poll

Tennessee has received its first top-25 ranking of the preseason.

The Volunteers, who went 50-18 in 2021 and won the SEC East division championship, are ranked No. 21 in the Perfect Game Preseason Top 25 Poll.

Tennessee, which hosted an NCAA Regional last season for the first time since 2005, and hosted an NCAA Super Regional for the first time in program history, is one of seven SEC teams to be ranked in the poll.

Vanderbilt occupies the No. 1 spot and is one of six conference teams in the top-10.

LSU is ranked fourth, Mississippi State is No. 6, Arkansas is No. 9 and Ole Miss is No. 10.

Florida is also ranked No. 23.

The Vols, who reached the College World Series in 2021, open its 2022 season Feb. 18 against Georgia Southern at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
