Vols defeat UT Martin on homecoming, improve to 7-0
The Vols, who held a 52-7 lead at halftime, amassed 434 yards of offense and scored on their first nine possessions en route to a homecoming victory.
Tennessee’s Princeton Fant, normally a tight end, rushed for two touchdowns from the fullback position and completed a 66-yard touchdown pass to Jalin Hyatt in the first half.
Starting quarterback Hendon Hooker completed 18-of-24 passing attempts for 276 yards and three touchdowns. He left the game late in the second quarter.
Hyatt finished with seven receptions for 174 yards and two touchdowns. Ramel Keyton recorded two touchdown receptions against the Skyhawks.
Joe Milton III relieved Hooker and was 4-for-7, accumulating 145 yards and completed a 64-yard touchdown pass to Squirrel White.
