Sep. 13—HARTSELLE — Mary Frances Itsede had a team-high eight kills and three aces as Hartselle picked up a 3-0 win over Decatur in high school volleyball on Tuesday.

Lily Douglass had seven kills and two digs for the Tigers, while Brooklyn Stiles added 20 digs, two assists and an ace. Amber Holshouser had four kills, 30 assists, 16 digs and four aces and Ashley Holshouser finished with four kills and seven digs.

Hartselle (16-8) continues play at home against Cullman on Thursday.

Priceville gets area win: Ashlyn Johnson recorded her 1,000th career assist as Priceville topped West Morgan 3-1 in an area match on Tuesday.

Johnson finished with 37 assists, 13 digs and three aces for the Bulldogs, while Abby Langlois added 20 kills, 20 digs and seven aces. Emmy Sherwood had 12 kills and Maddi Kennedy had 17 digs.

Lawrence County sweeps tri-match: Lawrence County rolled through a tri-match against county foes Hatton and East Lawrence on Monday, defeating Hatton 2-0 (25-13, 25-7) and East Lawrence (25-6, 25-6).

Ava Boyll had 10 kills for the Red Devils against Hatton, while Kylie Graham added six kills and 10 assists. Against East Lawrence, Boyll finished with a team-high 11 kills and five digs and Alivia Terry had 10 assists.
