Vikings re-sign OG Dozier

The Minnesota Vikings re-signed offensive guard Dakota Dozier to a contract, the team announced Saturday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the Vikings, however TwinCities.com reported that the contract was for one year and $1 million.

Dozier started four games last season with Minnesota after spending his first five NFL campaigns with the New York Jets.

The 28-year-old has appeared in 53 career games (11 starts) with the Vikings and New York since being selected by the Jets in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Dozier could be in line for more playing time this season after Minnesota released offensive guard Josh Kline earlier this month. The move came one year after Kline joined the team on a three-year, $15.75 million contract.

Kline, 30, started 13 games in 2019, committing two penalties and allowing one sack, according to STATS. He spent the previous three seasons with the Tennessee Titans after playing his first three in New England.
