As it stands, Minnesota has 10 draft picks for 2021. That’s plenty of selections to accrue talent and get better for next season.

There is something missing, though — the team still does not have a second-round pick. The Vikings lost their second-round pick in order to acquire Yannick Ngakoue via trade.

So let’s say Minnesota trades back. Let’s also say that trading back lands the Vikings a second-rounder. Sure, that might not necessarily be the case, but you never know.

If both those things were to happen, the Vikings could set their sights on a good draft prospect in that round. Here are some options:

North Carolina WR Dyami Brown

Could this be the spot where Minnesota lands a wide receiver three? Brown has big-play potential and can play from the slot or outside. Adding Brown would make Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen even more difficult to stop.

Texas OT Samuel Cosmi

If the Vikings trade back, they may have to address a pressing need in the second round. That need could be offensive line. Cosmi adds more versatility to the offensive line. He's also a fit for a zone blocking scheme.

Perkins is considered by some to be more of a project. That said, he could provide upside for the Vikings. His ceiling is high, so if he could beat out D.J. Wonnum or Stephen Weatherly for the defensive end spot opposite Danielle Hunter, he could be a big boost to the team in 2021.
