Vikings opponents for next season are finally set in stone

DETROIT — With the Vikings shifting their focus to next season, they finally know who all of their opponents will be. The official schedule won’t be released until May.

The home opponents for the Vikings will be: the Lions, the Packers, the Bears, the 49ers, the Cardinals, the Texans, the Colts, the Falcons, and the Jets. The road opponents for the Vikings will be: the Lions, the Packers, the Bears, the Rams, the Seahawks, the Jaguars, the Titans, and the Giants.

The opponents features the standard games against the NFC North (Lions, Packers, Bears), as well as a set of games against the NFC West (49ers, Rams, Seahawks, Cardinals) and AFC South (Texans, Jaguars, Colts, Titans). The rest of the opponents (Falcons, Jets, Giants) were determined by the fact that those teams also finished in third place in their respective divisions.

Mullens reflects on performance

Though veteran quarterback Nick Mullens likes some of the things he did this season, he’s aware that all of the turnovers could come back to haunt him.

In total, Mullens finished 100 of 148 passing for 1,306 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions.

How does he thing that collective effort will impact his resume moving forward?

“That’s not for me to decide,” Mullens said. “I’m proud of the stuff that I did put on tape for the most part.”
