The Arizona Cardinals will host the Minnesota Vikings this weekend at State Farm Stadium in their home opener.

As was the case last week, the Cardinals have no players on their roster who have spent part of their career with the Tennessee Titans, whom they defeated 38-13, they have no former Vikings on their roster.

For a pair of Vikings, it is somewhat of a homecoming. Two Vikings newcomers in 2021 are former Cardinals.

Peterson spent a decade with the Cardinals and left to the Vikings in free agency after he was not re-signed this offseason. During his 10-year run, he made eight Pro Bowls and was a first-team All-Pro three times. He was the fifth overall pick by the Cardinals in 2011 and very likely will be named to the Cardinals Ring of Honor one day. He is now a starter for the Vikings and will be tasked with covering A.J. Green and DeAndre Hopkins.

Cole was traded from the Cardinals to the Vikings this past offseason for a sixth-round pick. The Cardinals made the move after acquiring center Rodney Hudson in a trade. Cole was drafted in the third round by the Cardinals in 2018 and was the team's starting center in two of his three seasons with the team.
