- The 49ers clearly came in to Monday Night Football in a good mood with that entrance. And as 1 1/2 point favorites over the Super Bowl champion Rams, who could blame them? However, 69% of bettors, like myself, put their money on the Rams. And as usual, Vegas almost always know something. Because the Niners, led by Jimmy Garoppolo, defended home turf to grab the win. Maybe the fact that the Rams haven't won in the Bay since 2018 had something to do with the line. And after Monday's loss, you can add another year to the drought. So to alleviate your pain, let's turn to a far more fun and dynamic sport.

Like everyone else, we've been waiting with bated breath to see if Aaron Judge will hit home run number 62 to take the [INAUDIBLE] record for homers in a season. And some of us are so gung-ho about the potential record breaker, we'll tweet it out before it even happens-- like SportsNet New York. They tried to take down the, tweet but screenshots are forever. And maybe SNY has jinxed Judge. Because the record continues to elude the Yankee slugger. And he only has three games left to get it done.

- Well, that's cutting it close.

- I know. I'm like Judge who is taking his sweet time. Albert Pujols has done nothing but mash home runs since he hit number 700. And he got another one on Monday against the Pirates.

- Albert hits it down the left [INAUDIBLE]

- That was career home run number 703, which moves Pujols past some guy named Babe Ruth on the all-time list. And like so many of his contemporaries in Serena, LeBron, and Brady, Pujols is proving age really is just a number. But enough of the cliches. I'm going to need to know what the real secret is. And don't tell me sunscreen.
