Betting: Can USA upset England?

HENRY BUSHNELL: USA versus England on Black Friday at the World Cup. It's the game we've all been waiting for. I'm Henry Bushnell from Yahoo! Sports checking in with a quick betting preview from Doha.

I'll say to start that I think the bookmakers have these odds just about right. If you're gonna bet the money line, I'd probably go with a draw at plus-310. But I actually like to over-under or any sort of total goals related bet a bit more here.

England is definitely the better team. And they have a world-class striker in Harry Kane. But that six goal outburst in their opener against Iran is totally inflating expectations here. When you look at the underlying numbers and some of the advanced statistics, that was more like a two or three goal performance probably, not a six goal shellacking.

And when you step back even further and you take out a silly game that the US played against Grenada back in June, both of these teams, each of these teams has failed to score in four of their last seven games. Failed to score a single goal in four of their last seven games.

So I really like under 2.5 goals here. And actually if you could parlay or even just combo that with a draw bet, which would give you two opportunities with the 0-0 and the 1-1, to hit on both bets, I think that might be the way to go here.
