Minty Bets is joined by Kevin Iole to preview the upcoming UFC Fight Night main event between Mackenzie Dern and Xiaonan Yan at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 1st.

MINTY BETS: This Saturday we've got UFC Fight Night taking place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am Minty Bets, and joining me to give us his best bet for the main event is Kevin Iole. Kevin, for the main event, we've got a women's strawweight bout between Mackenzie Dern, -250, versus Xiaonan Yan, plus 190.
I kind of like McKenzie here, because she's strongest when she can take her opponents to the ground. And I don't think that Yan has that takedown defense, adequate takedown defense, to take on Dern here. So I like McKenzie to win and possibly by submission, as most of her wins in the UFC have been by submissions. What do you think?
KEVIN IOLE: Well, I don't even have to talk. Yeah, you took the words right from my mouth. But McKenzie Dern's really been on a roll, and I like what she's been doing. And I think the thing that's making her better, when she came to the UFC she had the great submission game. She was one of the best BJJ artists in the world. But she's improved her striking so much, she has so many more dimensions to her game now, Minty, than she had when she came in, that she's really a title threat.
And I agree completely with what you said. I like McKenzie to win this fight likely by submission, although I think it's going to be by stoppage. I wouldn't narrow it down, because sometimes when they're worried so much about your BJJ game, some other aspect of your game comes out. And it could be ground and pound. I could see that being a ground and pound finish. So I'm going to go with Mackenzie Dern by finish here.
