Minty Bets, Jared Quay, and Pamela Maldonado break down their betting picks for the Sunday Night Football matchup between the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs.

Video Transcript

MINTY BETS: It's time for some Sunday Night Football, as we have an AFC West match-up. The Kansas City Chiefs host the Denver Broncos. The Chiefs are 9 and 1/2 point favorites and the total is 47 and 1/2. I'm Minty Bets here with my friends, Jared Quay and Pam Maldonado. And we're here to give you our best bets. Let's start with you Jared. What do you have for us?

JARED QUAY: Oh, man, I love the Chiefs at home minus 9 and 1/2, all right? I know it's a divisional game, I know it's a lot of points, but this is Andy Reid off a bye, which the record speaks for itself. The man doesn't lose. You add that with the fact that the Broncos have won some good games beating the Cowboys and the Chargers, but those are both at home. And they have a beat up offensive line going against this Chiefs defense line that's actually getting stronger with the add in of Melvin Ingram, Chris Jones is back healthy, and Frank Clark. I just think this Chiefs team runs away with this one pretty big. So give me minus 9 and 1/2 for the Chiefs.

MINTY BETS: Ooh, can't argue with that. Pam, what's your pick?

PAM MALDONADO: Jared, I can't disagree with you about the Chiefs defense getting better, which is why I'm looking to the under 47 and 1/2 for both, for this match-up Broncos at Chiefs. Because yes, the Chiefs, they're starting to look good, they're starting to gel together. In week 6 through 11, the Chiefs have allowed opponents to score on 28% of its possessions. That's the second best in the league over that span. Before that, KC was allowing opponents to score on a 58% of its drives. That is a huge difference in just a short amount of time. And looking at Denver, they have been allowing 6 and 1/2 red zone plays per game. That's the fewest in the league. And they're allowing 2.2 red zone trips per game, also fewest in the league. Now that's the defense.

So now let's look at the offense and some scoring opportunities. Both the Chiefs and the Broncos, 20 points or less and 17 points or less in 3 of their last four games. Denver 2 and 9 to under this season, and one of those games that did go over was against Pittsburgh, where the line was totaled at 39 and a 1/2. Only 46 points were scored in that game. I love the under 47 and 1/2 for this match-up.

MINTY BETS: I really like the under too, but I cannot bet on prime time totals anymore. I'm going to go with the Denver Broncos plus the points in this divisional game. Now Denver's defense and run game is pretty good, and it will be a competitive game as the Chiefs are coming off a bye. But the Chiefs are 0 and 4 against the spread when favored by 9 or more points. So give me the Broncos plus the points. And to recap our Sunday Night Football picks, Jared has the Chiefs to cover, Pam is on the under, and I have the Broncos to cover.
