Video: Jake Paul, Nate Diaz hand fight in first faceoff

DALLAS – Jake Paul and Nate Diaz engaged in their first faceoff ahead of their Aug. 5 boxing match following Tuesday’s press conference.

After news conference that lasted approximately 45 minutes, Diaz and Paul faced off for the first time, squared off by their representatives Nakisa Bidarian, of Most Valuable Promotions, and Zach Rosenfield, of Team Diaz.

Paul and Diaz remained at distance, though they jostled for hand position during their faceoff opportunity. The news conference took place at American Airlines Arena, the same venue that will host the fight.

Diaz will compete in his first non-UFC combat sports contest since October 2006 when he takes on YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul in an eight-round bout on Aug. 5 at American Airlines Center, and to kick off the promotion for the event, the pair attended an on-sale press conference in the same venue where they will fight.
