During a busy day of action at the 2021 edition of the NBA trade deadline, the Miami Heat sealed one of the day’s blockbuster deals. In the final minutes before the deadline buzzer, the Heat acquired two-time All-Star guard Victor Oladipo from the Houston Rockets.

Despite the Heat landing Oladipo on March 25, the guard has been sidelined with an illness. Following a short wait, Oladipo is set to make his South Beach debut with the Golden State Warriors in town on Thursday night.

In 29 games with the Indiana Pacers and Houston Rockets, Oladipo is averaging 20.8 points on 41.1% shooting from the field with 5.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.3 steals in 33.4 minutes per game.

In his first game donning Miami’s vice colorway, Oladipo will tangle with Steph Curry. After missing five consecutive games for the Golden State Warriors, the seven-time All-Star returned on Monday, scoring a game-high 32 points on 11-of-24 shooting from the floor with six assists and five rebounds in 30 minutes.

The Warriors will open a three-game road swing that starts in Miami on Thursday at 5 p.m. PT.
