Vasilije Micic, who is a one-time EuroLeague MVP, has won his second consecutive EuroLeague Final Four MVP award after winning the EuroLeague championship on Saturday for Anadolu Efes.

Micic’s draft rights belong to the Oklahoma City Thunder, who acquired them in the Al Horford trade from the Philadelphia 76ers in 2020. Micic was drafted 52nd overall in the second round of the 2014 NBA draft by the Sixers.

When asked about making the jump overseas, Micic said he’s open to the idea of playing in the NBA next season.

“I’m in a situation where I have two more years of the contract no matter what happens. But of course, I like to look at all kinds of challenges,” said Micic. “If this option comes out, I would be ready to risk.”

Marc Stein also reported that there’s already NBA interest for Micic, which could generate a market for him this offseason as a trade candidate for the Thunder.

Considering he is already 28 years old, Micic doesn’t fit the Thunder rebuilding timeline. The type of return the Thunder could expect is most likely at least one second round pick.
