Vanderbilt transfer Tyler Steen will officially visit Alabama

The recruiting season never ends and that doesn’t just include high school kids either. In the modern era of college football, the transfer portal has often taken center stage. This statement will manifest itself on Saturday, March 26, when Vanderbilt offensive tackle transfer Tyler Steen will make an official visit to Tuscaloosa.

Steen has already made visits to Kentucky, N.C. State, and LSU. And at the moment, all indications are that these schools are currently in a better position to land Steen. We will obviously see where things stand after Steen’s visit with the Tide.

Steen has started 32 games for the Commodores over the past three seasons and will have two years of eligibility remaining due to his extra COVID year.

The Alabama offensive line is certainly one of the biggest question marks this spring for the Tide and I am sure that will carry on over into fall camp. I don’t imagine coach Saban bringing Steen on board unless he believes he is a day one starter.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to monitor Alabama’s involvement with Steen throughout the process.
