Utah fan brings date to Jazz game courtesy of Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Mitchell made a Utah Jazz fan’s weekend a whole lot better.

Mitchell is having a phenomenal rookie campaign for the surging Jazz. Entering Saturday night’s matchup with the Dallas Mavericks, the Jazz had won 11 of the last 12 games, so it’s a hot ticket in Salt Lake City.

One fan, Josh Buhler, thought tickets to the Jazz game would make for a fun date, so he boldly hit up Mitchell via direct message to see if he could help. Mitchell came through in the clutch.

How cool is that?

It’s just another accomplishment to add to the list for Mitchell’s rookie year. He already won the dunk contest, leads all rookies in scoring (19.6 ppg) and hooked up a fan with tickets.

Philadelphia’s Ben Simmons is the current favorite, but perhaps rookie of the year will be next for Mitchell if Utah keeps winning at this rate.
