USMNT star Christian Pulisic scores first goal of season for Chelsea originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
It was only a matter of time for Christian Pulisic to find the back of the net.
On Wednesday afternoon, the U.S. Men's National Team star scored his first goal of the season for Chelsea, a stoppage-time strike to put the finishing touches on the Blues 4-0 victory over Russian club Krasnodar in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
The effort was Pulisic's fourth career Champions League goal and his second with Chelsea.

Pulisic came on in the 71st minute to replace midfielder Mateo Kovačić and immediately made his presence felt. In addition to scoring, Pulisic also won a penalty for Chelsea, one Timo Werner would net in the 76' minute to extend the club's lead to 2-0.
Minutes later, he would also help set up another goal, one that was finished by Hakim Ziyech.

Pulisic suffered a hamstring injury in the FA Cup final in August, which derailed the start of his 2020-21 season. In the 20-plus minutes he played on Wednesday, it appears the 22-year-old is back to the excellent form he finished the 2019-20 Premier League season with.
