New USC women’s basketball podcast explores what March might look like

This is March. USC women’s basketball will play meaningful March games, first at the Pac-12 Tournament and then in a few weeks at the 2023 NCAA Tournament. The Trojans will go to the Big Dance for the first time since 2014, snapping a nine-year drought. Lindsay Gottlieb and assistant coach Beth Burns have engineered a remarkably quick overhaul of this program, getting the Trojans back to national relevance in the second year of a new regime.

We released a separate standalone podcast episode on the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament, which unfolds this week.

This new episode looks at the USC women’s basketball team, its sweep of the Washington schools last weekend, and the possible teams the Trojans could face in the NCAA Tournament. Which potential second-round matchup against a top-two seed would give the Women of Troy the best possible chance to not only win, but make a national splash which boosts recruiting?

We explored that topic. Ian Hest produced the show.
